Micro Matic USA, Inc. Acquires Grupo Cerbev S.A. de C.V of Monterrey, Mexico

Micro Matic USA, Inc. has acquired the draft beer dispensing division of Grupo Cerbev S.A. de C.V. of Monterrey, Mexico, a leading distribution firm serving Mexico and Central America.

Peter Muzzonigro, Micro Matic USA, Inc. president announced the acquisition and stated that it is one step in the company’s comprehensive expansion plans. “This acquisition strengthens Micro Matic’s presence in the region and provides a unique opportunity to further develop the region as a growing market for draft beer,” Muzzonigro stated.

As part of the agreement, Grupo Cerbev founder and president, Victor Navarro will serve as managing director of the new company Micro Matic de Mexico. “Mr. Navarro will make a strong addition to the Micro Matic management team,” said Muzzonigro. “He brings over twenty years of experience as a major supplier of draft beer dispensing equipment. We are fortunate to have Mr. Navarro join the company and oversee the expansion of our business in this region. He brings a wealth of experience, know-how and local market knowledge.”

Speaking of the new company, Mr. Navarro said, “I am excited over the prospects of bringing many new products and services to this region and benefiting from Micro Matic’s global leadership. It was for this reason that the acquisition clearly benefited both of our companies. I knew that with aid of Micro Matic’s resources and investments, we could focus on local market needs and better serve the customer while creating new opportunities to expand and support the draft beer business.”

Micro Matic USA is comprised of three operating divisions: Dispense Service, Manufacturing and Industrial.

The dispense service division operates four distribution centers in the USA, each equipped with state-of-the-art education facilities, the Micro Matic Dispense Institute, dedicated to teaching the essential skills for installation and maintenance of draft beer systems.

The USA manufacturing division operates production and assembly operations in Brooksville, Florida where dispense products for the brewing industry are produced and assembled, and in Reno, Nevada where a proprietary range of closed liquid transfer valve systems for the specialty and commodity chemical markets are manufactured. Industrial products are sold through a global network of industry solution providers.
