Micro Matic won the MIA Prize 2006

Representatives from the Micro Matic management and staff are proud to receive the MIA Prize 2006, which was handed out in the hall of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

The panel of judges nominated Micro Matic A/S as an appreciation of their efforts to promote diversity and secure equal treatment in the workplace. And moreover the company got top marks, as stated in the nomination:

“We nominate the enterprise due to the consistency of its employment policy, for the broad approach to diversity, for the continuous partnership agreements with the local authorities of the city of Odense regarding disabled persons, for the attention paid to the problems of maladjusted young people, for the results regarding employment of ethnic minorities, for the consistent and forward staff policy and - not least - for the quality control of all those initiatives through a continuous dialogue between the management, the staff members and the shop stewards.”

The MIA Prize is based on the efforts made by the Danish Institute for Human Rights to promote diversity and ensure equal possibilities in the workplace.

The campaign "For Diversity. Against Discrimination.", which is being developed in close co-operation with EU governments, trade unions, employers' organisations and NGOs, was launched on 16th June 2003, when EU Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs, Anna Diamantopoulou, presented the campaign to the international press in Brussels.
