Our local presence in Northern Ireland

Our local presence in Northern Ireland

Micro Matic UKI

Founded in 1982 and based in Bangor, Northern Ireland, Valpar Micro Matic was the first company in the world to produce machine-made python.

After launching this ground-breaking invention, Valpar Micro Matic has continued to grow and is now the world’s leading manufacturer of python and tubing for the beverage dispense industry. We also supply product to the industrial, marine and automotive industries.

Our core capabilities and patented technologies include single and multi-layer tube extrusion, bundling, shaping, and welding. We can also provide individually tailored solutions in addition to our standard range.

In 2015 we were acquired by Denmark-based Micro Matic, making us a proud part of the global market leader in the supply of beverage dispense solutions from keg spears to digital signage.

In August 1982 Robert Beckett set up processes in a farm building with the intention of being the first company in the world to make machine made python – an idea which became a reality!

Before this python had been made by hand often in unhygienic conditions, which had led to products of varying quality and poor performance. But Robert’s philosophy of “there’s got to be an easier way” and a combination of common sense, innovation and technical knowledge led to the creation of the first ever python making machine later that year.

Since our first sales to the UK in 1984, the company has continued to grow, and in joining with Micro Matic has become one of the largest suppliers of beverage products in the world.
